Rob Burrow is an Australian rugby player who has been playing the game since childhood. He was born to a family of rugby players, and was raised in the small town of Murwillumbah, New South Wales. He began his career in rugby league with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2003. In 2008, he signed with the Melbourne Storm, and went on to play for the North Queensland Cowboys and the Brisbane Broncos.
Throughout his career, Rob has been an inspirational figure to many, showing determination and resilience. In 2013, he made his State of Origin debut for New South Wales. In 2014, he won the Dally M Medal, the highest accolade in the NRL.
In 2016, Rob was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a progressive and terminal illness. Despite his diagnosis, Rob continued to play rugby, and in 2018, he was named as the captain of the Australian Kangaroos. His inspirational story of courage and resilience has gained him recognition and admiration from around the world.
Since his diagnosis, Rob has dedicated his life to raising awareness of MND and supporting those affected. He has raised millions of dollars for research and support. He has also worked with a number of charities, including the Motor Neurone Disease Association of Australia and the Rob Burrow MND Foundation.
